Project Dignity – Services for Unhoused Individuals
Project Dignity’s array of services is designed to meet the most basic needs of our unhoused visitors – food, hygiene services, mail service, as well as the larger, more challenging issues these guests face – stable housing and access to public benefits. The goal of the program is to serve as a bridge back to health, well-being and self-sufficiency.
PROJECT DIGNITY SERVICES
- Case management and hygiene services (showers, laundry, haircuts) for unhoused individuals
- Assistance with accessing public benefits (SNAP, Public Assistance, DRIE/SCRIE, Appointment for Medicaid, Appointment for Urban Justice Legal Clinic, etc.)
- Supportive housing assistance (HRA 2010e)
- Psychiatric evaluations
- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSI/D) applications
- Access to onsite mail service, obtaining birth certificates and state IDs
- Referral services that include but are not limited to substance abuse treatment, medical services and shelter
