Our Policies

New York Common Pantry is committed to maintaining the privacy of our offline donors as well as Web site visitors and donors and upholds the confidentiality of your personal information.  NYCP does not share, sell, rent, or trade information about its donors and other contacts.

Data Collection

We collect individually identifiable information about you when you choose to share information about yourself, for example, when you make a donation, request information or sign up to be on our mailing list.  This information may include, but is not limited to, your postal or e-mail address, your telephone number and your e-mail address.

We use high-grade encryption and security protocols (Secure Socket Layer-SSL) when processing financial transactions.  This method is the industry standard security protocol, which makes it difficult for anyone to intercept the information you send us.  Inside NY Common Pantry, data is stored on password-protected servers.  Our staff is educated about the importance of safeguarding your information.  However, such precautions do not guarantee that our web site is invulnerable to all security breaks.  NYCP makes no warranty, guarantee or representation that the use of our web site is protected from viruses, security threats or other vulnerabilities and that your information will always be secure.

New York Common Pantry strives to keep donors informed about how donations are used and their importance for continuing our programs.  We send several mailings a year to accomplish this and include a donation coupon to invite financial support.  Most NYCP supporters want to receive all of our mailings and newsletters.  However, you may opt out of any and all mailings by contacting us with your request.
