New York Common Pantry celebrates one year of operation in the Mott Haven community. News 12 Bronx has the story: “THE BRONX – A Mott Haven food pantry that helps senior citizens is about to celebrate its 1-year anniversary.The Bronx branch of New York Common Pantry opened last November. It is home to the Nourish Program, aimed at stocking the cabinets of low-income seniors with healthy meals.

Once a month, participants are invited to pick up a grocery package that includes fruits, vegetables, pasta, milk and more. Last month, the pantry saw more than 1,500 patrons, and the goal is to grow that number in the coming year.” Click the picture or here to watch!
